Abstract
This article reviews the literature on the good life of older adults from the perspective of life satisfaction. The findings indicate that health, family, social support, economic conditions, and housing are key factors influencing life satisfaction among older adults. Existing studies consistently identify life satisfaction as an important indicator of quality of life and the aging process. However, research in Vietnam has mainly focused on identifying factors associated with life satisfaction, while limited attention has been given to older adults’ subjective perceptions of what constitutes a good life based on their own lived experiences. The study highlights the need for further research adopting a more person-centered approach to better understand the well-being of older adults in the Vietnamese context.
Keywords: Older adults, good life, life satisfaction, aging, quality of life.
