Abstract

This paper proposes the project “From Mung Beans to Clean Bean Sprouts” to provide grade 3 students with opportunities to develop creative thinking in Nature and Society. Drawing on research into creative thinking and project-based learning, as well as primary education curriculum requirements, the project comprises six stages: formulating questions, selecting a sprouting method, observing the process, making adjustments, presenting the results, and reflecting on the learning experience. The activities encourage students to generate multiple solutions, develop original ideas, and improve their work based on observational evidence. The paper also proposes sources of evidence and assessment criteria while addressing individual participation, family support, and safety considerations. As a pedagogical design, the project requires further classroom implementation and validation rather than representing the findings of an empirical study.
