Abstract

The expansion of economic and investment relations between Vietnam and China has increased the demand for Chinese-speaking workers in Vietnam. In addition to school and university students, workers have emerged as a distinct group of Chinese language learners whose primary goals are to meet job requirements and advance their careers. However, current Chinese language training programs do not fully address the language needs of workers in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and business. This article examines the gap between Chinese language education and occupational needs and proposes several directions for developing employment- oriented training, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises, and enhancing the practical relevance of Chinese language education in Vietnam.

Keywords: Chinese language, Chinese language education, learning needs, occupational Chinese, workers.
