Abstract

Hospital social work services play a crucial role in supporting end-stage chronic kidney disease patients, particularly those undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Research at Bach Mai Hospital shows that these activities facilitate patient access to medical services while also providing psychological, financial, and social support, contributing to improved quality of life and sustainable treatment adherence. Lessons from the model at Bach Mai Hospital can serve as a valuable reference for other healthcare facilities.
