Abstract

Social work is a profession and a specialized activity aimed at assisting individuals, families, and communities in enhancing their capacity, meeting their needs, and improving social functioning. It also promotes a supportive social environment through policies, resources, and services, helping individuals, families, and communities to address and prevent social problems, thereby contributing to ensuring social security. The purpose of social work is to support target groups in overcoming social difficulties to achieve optimal health care outcomes. Social workers in hospitals serve as a crucial bridge in effectively resolving conflicts between patients and medical staff.
