Abstract
Electronic monitoring of offenders is increasingly becoming a common trend in modern criminal justice, serving as an alternative to or support for imprisonment. This article examines the experience of applying this measure in selected countries, clarifies its advantages and limitations, and analyzes the possibility of adopting it in Vietnam. On that basis, it proposes recommendations for improving the legal framework in order to enhance the effectiveness of criminal sentence enforcement and safeguard human rights in the context of digital transformation.
