Abstract
This study examines the perceived effectiveness of artificial intelligence in lesson planning and instructional design among preschool teachers following a practical training program. Using a descriptive survey, data were collected from 204 preschool teachers through a Google Forms questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that most teachers were familiar with artificial intelligence in education and perceived AI tools as effective in reducing lesson preparation time, creating more engaging teaching materials, increasing children’s participation, and improving confidence in lesson planning. ChatGPT was most frequently used for lesson planning and content generation, while Canva AI, CapCut, and Wordwall supported the development of visual materials, instructional videos, and interactive learning activities. The study also identifies challenges related to digital skills, technical knowledge, access to appropriate devices, and ensuring content suitability for young children. The findings provide practical evidence for designing hands-on, tool-specific professional development programs for preschool teachers.
