Abstract

This article analyzes Vietnamese legal provisions on insurance bene't payment obligations in life insurance contracts under the Law on Insurance Business 2022 and current practical application in Vietnam. Through examining legal provisions, dispute settlement practices, and related case law, the article clari'es shortcomings concerning exclusion clauses, disclosure obligations, claim time limits, and mechanisms for protecting policyholders. Based on these 'ndings, the article proposes several recommendations to improve the legal framework and enhance the protection of policyholders’ rights in the context of Vietnam’s rapidly developing yet legally complex life insurance market.
