Abstract
This paper presents and clarifi es the concept of probabilistic thinking, a form of thinking that should be developed among students, particularly in the context of the early years of implementing Vietnam's 2018 General Education Program in Mathematics. This curriculum includes elements of Statistics and Probability as a coherent strand of knowledge taught from Grade 2 to Grade 12. By presenting illustrative examples of probabilistic thinking, the paper highlights the importance of fostering this type of thinking in students’ learning process of Statistics and Probability. Furthermore, it emphasizes the role of probabilistic thinking in enhancing students’ problem-solving and decision-making skills in uncertain situations.
