Abstract

Southern Don ca tai tu, a genre of traditional musical art, was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013. It is not only a traditional art form but also a cultural resource capable of generating value for tourism development, local communities, and the regional economy. Ca Mau Province, including the cultural space historically associated with Bac Lieu, has favorable conditions for promoting Don ca tai tu through tourism. This article examines the current exploitation of its heritage value through tourism activities in Ca Mau and proposes several groups of solutions. These solutions aim to preserve the authenticity of the heritage while developing distinctive tourism products and creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities.
