Abstract
In the context of Vietnam’s rapidly growing tourism industry alongside significant environmental and social challenges, the implementation of responsible tourism models in accommodation facilities is considered a key factor in achieving sustainable development goals. This paper applies a synthesis and international comparative analysis method to examine the practical application of responsible tourism at exemplary accommodation facilities around the world, thereby drawing practical lessons for Vietnam. Research findings indicate that countries such as Costa Rica, Thailand, Japan, and major hotel groups such as Accor, Six Senses, and Grand Hyatt Singapore have effectively implemented numerous environmental protection policies, including energy saving, waste recycling, biodiversity conservation, and community awareness enhancement. Selective adoption of international experiences and flexible adjustments to fit national conditions are considered effective strategies to enhance competitiveness, protect resources, and promote Vietnam's tourism industry toward sustainable development.
