Abstract
This study examines the social activity skills of students in the Department of Chemical Technology at Hanoi University of Industry. The survey results indicate that while students demonstrate a strong awareness of the importance of social activities, their practical ability to perform these skills remains mostly at an average or low level. Although they possess foundational knowledge, many essential competencies—particularly group leadership, planning and organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving—are still underdeveloped. The findings also reveal differences in the level of social activity skill development among cohorts and academic years, whereas variations across departments are minimal. These results highlight the need for targeted educational strategies to enhance students’ social activity skills in higher education settings.
