Abstract
The internal control model of credit institutions in the EU is designed to ensure safety, transparency, and operational effi ciency, grounded in the Basel principles on risk management and regulatory compliance. This system requires independent control mechanisms, closely supervised by boards of directors and specialized committees. The EU places particular emphasis on transparency, accountability, and the application of technology in risk management. Vietnam should draw lessons from the EU experience to improve its legal framework, enhance the quality of internal audits, and meet the demands of international integration.
