Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-compassion and its self-warmth components and the presence of meaning in life among Caodaists in Vietnam. Using a cross-sectional, non-experimental quantitative design, data were collected from 391 participants using the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS-26) and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ). The results show that self-compassion and its self-warmth components are positively associated with the presence of meaning. Regression analyses further indicate that self-compassion, common humanity, and mindfulness significantly predict the presence of meaning in life among Caodaists in Vietnam. The study was conducted in accordance with established research ethics standards.
