Abstract

The Jigsaw model is a cooperative learning technique, also known as the jigsaw technique. This article presents the fundamental aspects of the Jigsaw model, analyzes the manifestations of primary students’ mathematical communication competence (according to the 2018 General Education Program) that are developed through learning with this model, and proposes an improved version of the original Jigsaw model for teaching word problems at the primary education level.
