Abstract

Control and takedown techniques constitute a central component of the People’s Public Security martial arts curriculum and contribute to developing cadets’ ability to respond effectively to practical situations. However, current martial arts training at the People’s Police Academy lacks a sufficiently diverse range of exercises; training intensity is not appropriately adjusted to each stage of instruction; and cadets’ ability to apply these techniques in real-world situations remains limited. Based on the operational and combat requirements of the People’s Public Security forces, this article proposes several specialized exercises designed to improve the effectiveness of control and takedown training for cadets at the People’s Police Academy.
