Abstract
Guardianship is an important institution in Vietnamese civil law, established to ensure the lawful rights and
interests of vulnerable subjects in society. Within the scope of this article, the author clarifies the concept, characteristics,
and significance of guardianship; on that basis, the article analyzes the provisions of current Vietnamese civil law on
guardianship, including guardians, wards, and the forms of guardianship as prescribed by law.
