Abstract
Student mental health has become an increasingly important concern as higher education is profoundly affected by digital transformation, academic pressure, career competition, and socioeconomic changes. Numerous studies have indicated a growing prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression, and psychological crises among university students, adversely affecting their academic performance, adaptability, and the quality of the future workforce. This article examines the theoretical foundations and current state of psychological counseling and mental health support for students and proposes directions for enhancing the effectiveness of these services in higher education institutions.
