Abstract

Calculus is a "gateway" subject that determines students' logical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills. At Hai Duong University, the diverse entry-level abilities of students pose a significant challenge for lecturers in conveying a vast amount of knowledge while maintaining student engagement. Maintaining traditional teaching methods no longer meets the requirements for developing students' competencies in the digital age. However, the abstract nature of the subject often makes it difficult for students to grasp. This paper analyzes the current state of teaching and proposes a blended learning model integrating visualization tools and the flipped classroom method to enhance students' mathematical thinking and practical application skills.
