Abstract
This article examines the student behavior management competence of primary school teachers in Da Nang City. The study involved 820 teachers from public primary schools and employed questionnaires and interviews. The findings show that teachers highly value student behavior management competence, considering it essential to improving the quality of teaching and educational activities. Although teachers demonstrate positive attitudes toward student behavior management, their relevant knowledge and skills remain at a moderate level, with none of the assessed skills reaching the proficient level. The findings provide an empirical basis for proposing measures to develop primary school teachers’ competence in student behavior management in Da Nang City.
