Abstract

Community-based tourism is an emerging tourism model in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam. The development of this model not only provides new livelihoods and ensures sustainable poverty reduction for local residents but also contributes to preserving traditional culture and protecting natural resources. Gia Lai College has implemented various training activities, thereby contributing to the development of a high-quality workforce for community-based tourism in the Jrai and Bahnar ethnic minority villages across the western region of Gia Lai Province. Based on an evaluation of the achievements and limitations in training human resources for community-based tourism over recent years, the author proposes strategic directions to further promote and enhance the role of Gia Lai College in education and training. These recommendations aim to meet both the quantitative and qualitative demands of the workforce serving local community based tourism in the future.
