Abstract

In the context of fundamental and comprehensive educational reform in Viet Nam, the development of competency-oriented teaching skills for pre-service Early Childhood Education students has become an urgent requirement. Training practice shows that although students recognize the importance of teaching skills, their competencies in lesson design, learning environment organization, and handling pedagogical situations remain limited due to constraints related to training duration, facilities, and practical experience. Based on an analysis of the current situation, this paper proposes several solutions to enhance the effectiveness of competency-based teaching skill development for students majoring in Early Childhood Education, thereby contributing to meeting the demands of contemporary educational reform.
