Abstract

The article analyzes the current situation and proposes solutions to enhance entrepreneurial competence among students at Foreign Trade University (FTU). Survey findings reveal that although students show strong entrepreneurial aspirations and positive perceptions, they still lack practical skills, innovative thinking, and hands-on experience. To turn awareness into action, the study emphasizes expanding ntrepreneurship education, increasing project-based learning and innovation competitions, and strengthening partnerships with businesses. Integrating entrepreneurship into the curriculum, providing soft-skill training, and fostering a practice-oriented learning environment are essential. Building mentorship networks and startup incubation support further empowers students in idea development, networking, and fundraising. The formation of a dynamic and creative educational environment, along with close cooperation between the university, students, and enterprises, is identified as key to establishing a sustainable startup ecosystem and nurturing a generation of innovative, entrepreneurship-ready graduates.
