Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of the competency of Early Childhood Education students in organizing activities that help preschool children become familiar with the social environment. Based on clarifying the concept and structure of this competency, the article highlights the role of such activities in developing children’s cognition, language, socio-emotional development, and life skills. The analysis of the current situation at Tay Bac University shows that students have acquired basic knowledge of organizing educational activities for children; however, certain limitations remain in identifying objectives, designing content, and selecting appropriate methods for organizing activities. On that basis, the article proposes several measures to develop this competency, including strengthening theoretical knowledge, promoting practical training and teaching practice, applying active teaching methods, and enhancing the connection between university training and practical Early Childhood Education. These measures contribute to improving students’ professional competencies and the quality of Early Childhood Education teacher training.
