Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) are generating increasing demand for highly skilled human resources, creating an urgent need for Ho Chi Minh City to develop its AI workforce. This article analyzes the opportunities and challenges facing the city in this process and highlights the need to strengthen workers’ adaptability amid labor market transformation in the digital era. Based on this analysis, the article proposes coordinated solutions involving the government, businesses, higher education institutions, and workers. These solutions aim to develop the city’s AI workforce, foster innovation, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable development in the coming period.
