Abstract
Developing the faculty of political theory constitutes a crucial task in enhancing the quality of higher education and safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation in the current context. This article examines the current situation of political theory lecturers in non-public universities in Hanoi, identifying notable strengths in political integrity and professional ethics, while also pointing out limitations in terms of quantity, structural composition, academic qualifications, pedagogical competence, and research capacity. Based on an analysis of the underlying causes of these shortcomings, the study proposes several solutions aimed at further developing the faculty to meet the evolving requirements of higher education and training in the new period.
