Abstract

In the context of competency-based educational reform, this study proposes a process for designing and using 3D images to teach the “Human Biology” topic in Grade 8 Natural Science with the aim of developing students’ natural science cognitive competence. The study employed a literature review, a questionnaire survey, and a pedagogical experiment. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 through descriptive statistics and repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings indicate that the use of 3D images contributes to the development of students’ natural science cognitive competence by strengthening their ability to observe, analyze, and explain biological phenomena. It also enhances their interest and engagement in learning.
