Abstract
In operational situations, officers may not always be able to take the initiative in apprehending an offender and may instead face forceful attacks or resistance. In People’s Public Security martial arts, blocking, parrying, and evasion are active defensive techniques used to neutralize an opponent’s attacks, protect the officer, and create opportunities for effective counterattacks and apprehension. Studying and practicing blocking, parrying, and evasion techniques, as well as coordinating defensive and offensive actions, are essential components of martial arts in general and People’s Public Security martial arts in particular.
