Abstract
As new-generation free trade agreements continue to broaden their regulatory scope, non-tariff measures (NTMs) have become increasingly important instruments of trade governance. This article examines the NTMs established under the United Kingdom–Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) and relevant UK regulations applicable to Vietnamese textile and garment exports, focusing on rules of origin and technical barriers to trade (TBT). Through an analysis of the applicable legal provisions and export practices, the study evaluates the impact of these measures on Vietnamese enterprises’ access to the UK market.
Keywords: International trade, market access, non-tariff measures, textile and garment products, UKVFTA.
