Abstract
This study analyzes and evaluates the impact of extracurricular Basketball on the physical development and social skills of university students. The research involved 200 students at Hanoi Law University, divided into two groups: an experimental group that participated in extracurricular Basketball training at least three times per week for six months, and a control group that did not participate in Basketball activities. The findings confirm that extracurricular Basketball not only enhances physical fitness but also plays a significant role in shaping and developing students’ social skills. The study suggests that universities should encourage and facilitate greater student participation in collective sports activities, particularly Basketball, to improve the overall quality of education and support students’ holistic development.
