Abstract
This study examines the effects of integrating digital technologies into project-based learning (PBL) in the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language (EFL) at Hong Bang International University (HIU). A mixed-methods approach was employed, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews, and a survey of 100 EFL students. The findings indicate that integrating digital technologies into PBL positively affects students’ English learning outcomes, communication skills, creativity, learning autonomy, and opportunities for personalized learning. However, several limitations were identified, including students’ insufficient digital competence, inadequate technological equipment and internet connectivity, and limited support from relevant stakeholders. The study therefore recommends that educational institutions provide appropriate policies, technological infrastructure, and institutional support to promote PBL and enhance students’ English language competence.
