Abstract

Harmonization of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures for electrical and electronic equipment is one of the measures for ASEAN to achieve the goal of building a unified market and production base. ASEAN has achieved a certain level of harmonization of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures for specific goods, especially for electrical and electronic equipment. This article studies the practice of harmonization of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures within the ASEAN framework for electrical and electronic equipment in particular, from which, some assessments and comments are given.
