Abstract
Decimals are a fundamental mathematical concept, essential for representing and performing operations with non-integer values. This article explores the approach to introducing decimal numbers and examines how the concept is presented in 5th-grade mathematics textbooks aligned with Vietnam’s 2018 General Education Curriculum. By analyzing textbook content, the study provides insights into the pedagogical orientation and consistency in introducing decimal concepts at the primary level.
