Abstract

The crime of humiliating another person is a serious violation of human honor and dignity, as stipulated in Article 155 of the 2015 Penal Code, as amended and supplemented in 2017, 2024, and 2025. In the context of the rapid development of social media and information technology, acts that infringe upon honor and dignity have become increasingly complex and may cause serious consequences. This article analyzes current Vietnamese legal provisions on the crime of humiliating another person, identifies several shortcomings in practical application, and proposes recommendations for legal improvement.
