Abstract
This study examined team-based learning experiences and their associations with academic grades among Indian medical students at Dai Nam University. A cross-sectional survey conducted in May 2026 included 169 eligible students; survey responses from 168 students were successfully linked to their academic records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman correlations, and linear regression. Mean scores for engagement, perceived teamwork, and satisfaction were 3.49, 3.39, and 3.18, respectively, on a five-point scale. None of the three measures was statistically significantly associated with academic grades. The findings suggest prioritizing pre-class preparation and team coordination and assessing learning experiences separately from academic achievement. The observational design precludes causal conclusions about the effectiveness of team- based learning.
