Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an important driver of higher education innovation in the context of digital transformation. This article analyzes the role of AI in university teaching in terms of supporting lecturers, personalizing learning, renewing assessment, and improving training management. Based on a literature review and theoretical analysis, the study shows that AI functions as an intelligent support system that contributes to improving teaching quality and the learning experience. However, AI application also raises challenges related to academic ethics, digital competence, and technological infrastructure. On that basis, the article proposes several orientations for the effective implementation of AI in higher education in Vietnam.
