Abstract
The Ho Chi Minh Thought course is a compulsory component in university training programs, playing a crucial role in providing students with fundamental and foundational knowledge. However, overall learning outcomes remain limited, stemming from various causes, including the role of lecturers. Therefore, studying Ho Chi Minh’s thought on teachers—covering their position, role, ethics, professional competence, teaching methods, and exemplary conduct—is essential for enhancing the quality of lecturers teaching this course. From this foundation, the article identifies key requirements for lecturers to strive toward meeting the standards befitting a subject dedicated to a leader deeply respected by Viet Nam and the international community. These requirements contribute to improving the teaching quality of the Ho Chi Minh Thought course in universities today.
