Abstract
The robust advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) within the context of digital transformation is driving significant shifts in foreign language pedagogy at the tertiary level. This study aims to analyze the integration of AI in language instruction and assess its influence on the development of communicative competence among students at Van Hien University. The findings indicate that AI contributes to creating interactive learning environments, personalizing learning pathways, and enhancing students' communicative abilities. However, the utilization of AI also entails certain limitations, such as technological over-reliance, a potential decline in independent thinking, and the risk of academic plagiarism. Based on these findings, the paper proposes several solutions for the effective and controlled use of AI, to improve the quality of foreign language teaching and learning at Van Hien University.
