Abstract

This study clarifi es the role of awareness-raising and vocational skills development activities in promoting sustainable tourism among local communities in Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City. Field research, in-depth interviews, and pilot model evaluations were conducted to provide analysis and form the basis for practical solutions. The fi ndings indicate that training activities to enhance awareness and vocational skills play a crucial role in developing green tourism products, contributing to transforming Can Gio into a sustainable tourism destination consistent with its status as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
