Abstract

Digital competence plays an important role in enhancing students’ learning effectiveness, scientific research capabilities, professional development, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship. However, the development of digital competence continues to face several challenges, including inadequate digital infrastructure, a mismatch between training programs and labor market requirements, and students’ limited awareness of the importance of digital competence. These constraints restrict students’ access to technology, their application of digital skills, and their ability to adapt to rapidly changing digital environments. Therefore, educational institutions need to invest systematically in technological infrastructure, align training programs with practical and professional requirements, and strengthen students’ awareness of digital competence. Such coordinated efforts will support the comprehensive development of students’ digital competence and enable them to meet the demands of digital transformation and the digital economy.
