Abstract

This study examines the application of selected exercises for developing evasion and blocking techniques in People’s Public Security martial arts instruction for cadets at the People’s Police Academy. Based on an analysis of the characteristics of evasion techniques and the operational and combat requirements of the People’s Public Security forces, the article proposes a system of exercises covering posture and movement, evasion, blocking, coordinated evasion–blocking–counterattack sequences, and scenario-based sparring. These exercises are implemented progressively, from simple to complex and from non-oppositional practice to controlled sparring. Their application can improve instructional quality and develop cadets’ reflexes, situational response skills, combat readiness, and ability to apply techniques in practice.
