Abstract
In professional practice, People’s Public Security officers may encounter complex situations in which suspects resist, attempt to escape, or launch sudden attacks during inspections, direct interactions, pursuit, arrest, or restraint. Therefore, in addition to professional and legal knowledge and situation-handling skills, People’s Public Security martial arts training plays an important role in developing cadets’ reflexes, body control, balance, motor coordination, and ability to respond under pressure. This article examines the application of selected surprise attack and apprehension techniques in martial arts training for cadets at the People’s Police Academy, thereby contributing to improving their practical response and suspect-control skills.
