Abstract
Exercise density is one of the important indicators reflecting the effectiveness of physical education (PE) classes. This study aims to determine the current state of exercise density and analyze factors affecting exercise density in PE classes of students in some teacher training colleges and universities. The factors with the strongest impact on exercise density include: (i) Overcrowded class size (negative impact); (ii) Inadequate physical facilities, fields, and training equipment; (iii) Teaching methods of lecturers are not diverse, still heavy on theory; (iv) Lack of elective sports content. Factors related to student awareness and motivation policies also have significant effects. The study proposes specific solutions to improve exercise density, contributing to improving the quality of PE classes.
