Abstract
This article proposes four measures to develop primary education students’ competence in integrating Central Highlands traditional culture into the design of experiential activities under the 2018 General Education Curriculum. Based on theoretical analysis and a review of relevant studies, the article clarifies the educational value of Central Highlands traditional culture for primary school pupils and identifies a research gap in developing pre- service teachers’ competence to design experiential activities grounded in local cultural contexts. The proposed measures include developing a module on incorporating Central Highlands traditional culture into experiential activities; training students to transform cultural values into educational tasks; organizing project-based practice in designing educational products; and assessing these products through rubrics tailored to the cultural context of the Central Highlands.
