Abstract

Cultural and natural heritage education provides an important foundation for fostering students’ awareness of cultural preservation and social responsibility. This study examines the theoretical, legal, and practical foundations of heritage education in Quang Ninh Province. Despite the achievements associated with implementing the 2018 General Education Curriculum, several limitations remain, including insufficiently differentiated learning materials, largely formalistic experiential activities, and inconsistent coordination between schools and heritage site management boards. Accordingly, the article proposes strategic solutions involving the standardization of digital learning materials, the enhancement of teachers’ field-based pedagogical competence, and the institutionalization of intersectoral coordination mechanisms. These measures are intended to help Quang Ninh effectively harness its cultural and natural heritage for sustainable development.
