Abstract

This article proposes several measures for applying artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance instructional design competence in Vietnamese language teaching at the primary level for students majoring in Primary Education at Tan Trao University. For each sub-competency, the study provides detailed descriptions and illustrative examples of how AI tools can be integrated to support the development of instructional design skills. These sub-competencies include lesson preparation, lesson planning and design, identification of learning objectives, and the design of key instructional activities. By integrating AI into the training process, students—future primary school teachers—are provided with opportunities to refine and strengthen their instructional design competence in the context of digital transformation. The proposed measures contribute to improving the quality of primary teacher education at Tan Trao University and to enhancing the overall quality of primary education professionals in society.
