Abstract

The lecture method is the primary instructional approach used in teaching political theory subjects at the university level, including Ho Chi Minh Thought. However, in the context of higher education reform oriented toward the development of student competencies, this method has revealed several limitations, such as one-way knowledge transmission, a low level of interaction, and insufficient connection with students’ future professional practice. This article analyzes the current use of the lecture method in teaching Ho Chi Minh Thought at Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport and proposes solutions to enhance its effectiveness through restructuring lecture content, increasing classroom interaction, applying technology, and linking theory to the specific characteristics of the transportation sector.
