Abstract
Developing digital competence among pre-service teachers is essential in the context of educational digital transformation. This study examined the impact of designing digital learning materials for the Teaching Methods of Music in Primary Education course using MuseScore on the digital competence of Primary Education students at Dong Nai University. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design was employed with 99 students. Data were collected using a 15-item instrument and analyzed through Cronbach’s alpha, descriptive statistics, and Cohen’s d. The findings showed that after the intervention, the experimental group achieved significantly higher digital competence than the control group, with a large effect size. The results confirm that integrating MuseScore into digital learning-material design effectively enhances the digital competence of pre-service Primary Education teachers.
