Abstract

Vietnam is increasingly integrating deeply with the world in many fields, including education. Along with this are the specific policies and guidelines of the Party and State aimed at developing Vietnamese education towards modernization, comprehensive integration, and increasing its standing in the region, continent, and the world. To realize these policies and guidelines, in addition to teaching in the mother tongue, teaching in a second language – English – in schools at all levels is essential. Therefore, access to English in specialized studies at universities is crucial. The Geography Education program at An Giang University is also designed according to this general trend, providing an important foundation for graduates to apply their knowledge to teaching, expand their employment opportunities, and meet the country's reform requirements.
