Abstract

The rapid development of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has brought about significant changes in many fields of education. This is also true in the field of English for Specific Purposes, particularly English for Office. AI tools offer many opportunities for personalized learning and real-time simulation of the workplace environment, but they also present challenges related to AI dependency loops and the illusion of competence among learners. This article aims to examine methods of applying AI tools to the teaching and learning of English for Office, the benefits, and challenges. From this, it proposes solutions to ensure that technology enhances, rather than stifles, learners' English proficiency in a professional environment.
